Anne L. Civitarese

Anne L. (Sekulski) Civitarese, a beloved wife, mother and sister, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the age of 73. She was the wife of Frank M. Civitarese, whom she married on September 29, 1973. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. Sekulski and Barbara (Murray) Fox.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Frank M. Jr and Tara Civitarese, her brother, Paul Sekulski, his wife, Sandy, and her brother in laws: Mark Civitarese, Anthony “Rocky” Civitarese and his wife Lynn. Many nieces and nephews also survive her.

She was a member of St. Francis Desales Roman Catholic Church, in Robesonia, PA. Anne was a 1970 graduate of Central Catholic High School and later earned her nursing degree from RACC and Kutztown University.

Her love for volunteering included being a Camp Fire Bluebird leader, where she shared her love for the outdoors with the group. She was a Berks County Master Gardener, and an avid gardener in her own right. In addition, she was a board member for the Berks Irish Faternal Association and volunteered at the Womelsdorf library.

One of her passions was to travel locally and internationally, which included: England, Ireland, Paris and Italy, and to coastal areas to view lighthouses. She also was a longtime companion on the back of her husband’s motorcycle in their 54 years together.

Anne was a very kindhearted person who befriended you for life. She will be missed greatly.
