Barbara Gail Moyer

Barbara Gail Moyer, 88, of State College, PA passed away in her residence while sleeping on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

She was the wife of the late Arthur R. Moyer who predeceased her in January of 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 14, 1935, daughter of the late Frank Lester and Myrtle Reynolds Else. Barbara was employed by Penn State University, Gifts and Endowments department for over 40 years until her retirement. She worked as a Judge of Election until 2016. Barbara was an avid Penn State Football fan. We all knew we would find her watching or listening to a game. She enjoyed watching many sports including tennis and golf. Her favorite players were the Williams sisters and Tiger Woods. She also loved the Little League World series in August.

Preceded in death by her sister Joan (Else) Fishburn. She is survived by her twin brother Frank Robert Else husband of Penelope (Penny), her five children, Sara Sweinhart wife of Dennis; Arthur R. Moyer Jr husband of Tammy; Mary Amsbury wife of Scoff; Frank Lester Moyer husband of Madonna; Timothy Shannon Moyer husband of Deborah and seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great- grandchild as well as multiple step grandchildren.

Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:00 am at Spring Valley Church, 2727 Old Pricetown Road, Temple, PA 19560.
