Daniel Gehris, Sr

Daniel M. "Butch" Gehris, Sr., 93, passed away February 10, 2015 in Berks Heim. He was the husband of Mary L. (Reinert) Gehris. Born in Temple, he was the son of the late Charles and Jennie (Yoder) Gehris. Butch was the owner and operator of Gehris Quality Meats in Topton from 1958-1985. One of the many things Butch enjoyed was spending Saturday nights with friends at the Topton Legion. Surviving in addition to his wife are two children Daniel M. Gehris, Jr., Temple; Sharon L. (Gehris) Gaenzle, Reading; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings Emma Grill, Helen Wanshop, Eva Schmeck, Charles Gehris and Robert Gehris.
