Dawn C. Liszcz

Dawn C. Liszcz (McCoy), 72, of Auburn, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Born on August 29, 1954, in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the youngest of eight children born to the late Grover H. and Grace (Heist) McCoy.

At 16 years old, she met 17-year-old Allen Liszcz, who she fell in love with and married a year later on February 5, 1972. As a young married couple, they faced many challenges throughout the years that strengthened their love for one another. By the grace of God they managed to survive 54 years together! They were looking forward to celebrating 55 years of marriage this coming February.

In the early part of their life together, Dawn had a career in retail, working for Pomeroy's, Bonton and Boscov’s. Her kids always enjoyed Boscov’s company picnic at Dorney Park where they would go off to enjoy the rides, while she found a stool at the Fascination game where she could roll those balls and try to be the first to get five in a row. It was essentially another form of Bingo, a game she devoted her life to, including organizing many trips to Connecticut for her and her fellow Bingo devotees.

Dawn’s life wasn’t just defined by her endless devotion to BINGO; she also had a big heart. She took pride in her children and loved being a Nana, as well as, giving back to the community when people were in need. When she found out that our neighbor’s kid had leukemia and needed a bone marrow transplant, she organized a block party to raise funds to help the family pay for it. Later, she spent several years helping Mary’s Shelter to raise money by running their Bingo nights.

In addition to her husband, Dawn is survived by her six children: Laura Tranovich, Liza Liszcz, Leslie Liszcz, Lacey Liszcz, Lainey Bell, and Allen Adam-Liszcz, her 15 grandchildren, whom she loved dearly: Gabriela, Blake, Ryan, Peyton, Jordyn, Austin, Jake, Aidan, Aaliyah, Donnie Jr., Kenzie, Tony, Joel, Declan, and Oliver, her beloved great-granddaughter, Aria. She also leaves behind one sister, Diane Neuin, and two brothers, Grover McCoy and Daniel Peter McCoy.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Lee Meck, Linda Knapp, Edith Fick and her brother, Barry McCoy.

Dawn’s greatest legacy is not found in the things she owned or the places she went, but in the love she gave and the lives she touched. Her family will carry her memory forward in the stories they tell, the traditions they keep, and the love they share with one another.
