Donald W. Herber, 82, of Spring Twp., passed away August 18, 2015 in his residence.
He was the husband of Beatrice A. (Sweitzer) Herber, they celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Born in Perry Twp., PA, he was the son of the late Jerry and Lizzie (Ely) Herber.
Donald was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was employed as a supervisor at Glidden Paint for 38 years, retiring in 1992.
Donald was an avid golfer; he and Beatrice enjoyed golfing together over the years. He was a life time member of VFW Post# 411, Birdsboro.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are children Kelly L. Lewis, Shillington; Jerry Herber, husband of Kristy (Ernst) Herber, Hamburg; Roy Herber, husband of Tracy (Breininger) Herber, Hamburg; three grandchildren C.J. Lewis, Tyler Herber, Logan Herber; brother Kenneth Herber, Leesport. He was preceded in death by siblings Marie Steffey and Lynwood Herber.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Donald's memory to Leukemia Society: 100 North 20th Street, 4th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
Services will private at the convenience of the family.
