Doris J. (nee Morton) Blackerby, 83, of Cumru Twp. passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 3:08 p.m. at home.
Born in Pontiac, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. Morton and Marie P. (Collingwood) Morton.
She was the widow of Robert W. Blackerby, who passed away on April 21, 1999.
She worked as a Registered Nurse for the Reading Institute of Rehabilitation for several years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Hampden Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her sons: Edd, husband of Cynthia L. Blackerby of Green Hills; Eric, husband of Shirley A. Blackerby of Exeter Twp.; and a daughter: Linda (Blackerby) Ludwig of Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
There are also 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is pre deceased by a daughter: Diann B. Blackerby, who passed away in 2002.
Memorial Services takes place June 5th at 4:00 p.m. at the Hampden Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2706 Old Pricetown Rd., Temple. Rev. Brian Cassell officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Reading Junior Academy, 309 North Kenhorst Blvd., Reading, PA 19607.
