Dorothy H. Hertzog, 91, formerly of the Hugh Carcella Apartments, North 10th Street, died Aug. 6 at 10:05 a.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., West Reading, where she had resided since May 16, 1998.
Her husband, Ernest Y. Hertzog, died in January 1964.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late George L. and Minnie (Freeman) Kurtz.
Hertzog was a self-employed housekeeper for 55 years until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading.
Surviving is a son, Elwood A., Exeter Township.
Other survivors include three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
