Elisa Hernandez, 64, Reading, died of natural causes March 9 in Berks Heim, where she had resided 12 years.
Her husband, Herman Gildo, died Nov. 14, 2000.
Born in Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Juan Lopez and Justina Rodirguez.
Hernandez was the owner-operator of the Hernandez and Acevado food markets, both in Reading.
She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Surviving are two daughters, Nelida and Odalis Morales, both of Reading.
Other survivors include seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
