Elizabeth George

Elizabeth H. George, 90, formerly of Reading, passed away September 3, 2011 at 2:10 PM in St. Joseph Medical Center where she was a patient since August 21st. She was admitted from ManorCare Health Services Inc., Laureldale, where she resided since November. She was the wife of Nicholas George who passed away January 22, 1997. Born in Reading on January 22, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Emily (Koller) Patton. Elizabeth was a 1938 graduate of Bryland School of Beauty. She was employed as a beautician by the former Gloray Beauty Salon on Penn Street in Reading for 20 years. Elizabeth is survived by a daughter Carol J. (George) wife of Stewart Kaucher of Wyomissing. She was predeceased by 2 sisters Emily (Patton) Freeman and Mary (Patton) Kintz and 2 brothers Lewis A�a�A"JimmyA�a�A� Patton and John Patton. Services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 N. 9th Street, Reading. Relatives and friends will be received Thursday 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
