Elizabeth Vella

Elizabeth H. Vella, 89, of Reading, passed away on February 20, 2015 at Rittenhouse Senior Living in Reading, PA. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George Seelig and Evelyn Leise Dyer. Mrs. Vella was employed as a manager for Berkshire Life Insurance Company, and later as a self employed reweaving and alterations specialist. She was a talented jewelry and costume designer, an avid reader, a volunteer for political campaigns, and was active in church and prison ministry. She was predeceased by her husband: Harry P. Vella and 7 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter: Karen E. Marsdale, wife of Alan F. of Oley, PA; grandchildren: Elizabeth Reilly, wife of Joshua of West Chester, PA and Marc Marsdale, husband of Laura of London, England. Great-grandchildren: Kenet Bickley and Jonah Reilly. Brothers: Melvin Seelig and Norman Miller; half-brother: George Seelig; half-sisters: Elizabeth Seelig and Lucy Smith.
