Eric Wentzel

Eric Jay Wentzel, 53, of Reading, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 in the Reading Hospital.  Born in Reading, he was the son of Barry Wentzel and Pamela Jo Cwiklinski.

Eric enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, and cars.  He loved reading the Bible, watching documentaries, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Flyers, and drinking Mountain Dew.  His daughter, Charisma, remembers getting out of the house and having fun with her dad whether it was flying kites or going fishing.  Eric always knew how to have a good time and cherished memories made at parties and family gatherings.  He loved his family dearly and never held judgement against them.

Eric is survived by his children, Charisma Wentzel and Lorenzo Wentzel, his grandchildren, Charisma Unique Garcia and MaxAmor Messiah Wentzel, his brother, Douglas B. Wentzel, and his half-sister, Jennifer Ormsbee.  He is also survived by his aunts, Linda Focht, Irene Lyczek, and Jess Cwiklinski, the mother of his children whom he shared a great friendship with, Alicia Morales, and good friend, Jeann Pilconis-Leh, who helped raise his children. Eric is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents whom he loved very much, Thaddeus and A. Josephine Cwiklinski, his uncle, Jim Focht, and his sister, Kimberly Jo Wentzel.

A viewing will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Family and friends will conduct a Celebration of Life service starting at 7:00 pm.  Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 North 9th Street, Reading is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.whelanschwartz.com.
