Etrula H. Thomas

Etrula (Hughes) Thomas age 99 affectionally known as Trudie, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday July 30, 2025. She was pre-deceased by her loving and devoted husband, Warren N Thomas on October 30, 2015.

She was born in Greensboro NC to Rosa Ana (Butler) Hughes. They moved to Pottsville PA. When she was 3 years old. She graduated from Pottsville High School in 1943 and after her graduation she became a government employee, retiring from the Social Security Administration in 1989

Her siblings Helen R. Flower of Reading Pa, and Evelyn S. Glenn of Reading Pa. She was pre-deceased by her brother Paul A. Hughes & sister Elaine B. Edward’s

She had 7 children. Marlene E. (Anderson) Bosco of Leesport PA., Bennie A Sims of Wyomissing PA., Victor C. Sims of Reading PA., Keith J Sims of Fleetwood PA., and Leigh Ann(Thomas) McIntosh of Mohnton PA.

She was pre-deceased by her son’s Herbert H. Anderson, and Paul A. Anderson

She had a host of Grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was well loved and will be missed by all who knew her
