Evelyn Oberc

Evelyn T. Oberc, 89, of Reading, passed away at Manor Care, Laureldale, June 7, 2013. Evelyn was born in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania on September 25, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Christine (Zappacosta) Pinti. She was pre-deceased by her husband Edward J. Oberc in May 1999. Evelyn graduated from Birdsboro High School, Class of 1942. She was an owner operator of Obercs Cafe at 10th & Elm Streets in Reading for 60 years and from where she retired in 1992. She was a member of St. Pauls Roman Catholic Church for many years. Survivors include a son: Larry E. Oberc and fiance Melinda S. Santiago of Laureldale and a sister: Louise Ciatto of Muhlenberg. She had a total of 10 brothers and sisters.

Burial will follow after Mass in Gethsemane Cemetery.
