Florencio S. Rios, 68, died of natural causes Feb. 2 at 7:49 p.m. in his residence on Green St.
He was the husband of Carmen M. (Agosto) Soto,
Born in Alvonito, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Ralph and Candita (Morales) Soto.
Rios was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Rios also is survived by a son, Eric Soto, Reading; and five daughters: Yolanda (Soto) Lopez, Brooklyn, NY; Carmen (Soto) Irrazary, Queens, NY; and Migdalia, Yevtte and Kathleen Soto, all of Reading.
Other survivors include two brothers, Hiram Soto, Reading, and Victor Soto, Cazus, Puerto Rico; and a sister, Rachael Soto, Richmond, VA.
There are also 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Interment will be in Charles Evans Cemetery. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
