Harold I. Graeff

Harold I. Graeff, 77, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 at 8:15 am at Laureldale Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Patricia L. (Allen) Graeff who passed away October 6, 2021. Born in Reading, Mr. Graeff was the son of the late Isaac H. and Elizabeth M. (Stalnecker) Graeff. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Shillington and was a member of Reading Pretzel City Chorus for 30 years; member of Reading Civic Opera Society; Founder of Governor Mifflin Ambulance Association and served as a volunteer fire fighter at Neversink Fire Company. Harold retired from Gilbert and Associates as an Electrical Engineer. He is survived by his nieces Kimberly R. Jones wife of Christopher Jones and their 2 sons of Muhlenberg Township; Holly J. Foster wife of Bradley Foster of Muhlenberg Township and their 3 children; nephews Patrick Giniewski husband of Laurie Giniewski of Florida; Kevin Giniewski husband of Marie Giniewski of Birdsboro and his sister-in-law Joyce M. Shade of Muhlenberg Township. In addition to his wife, Harold was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl L. Graeff, May 31, 2018 and his sister Judith Giniewski in 2008.

Funeral Service will be held at Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 North 9th Street, Reading, Monday, November 24, 2025 at 11:00 am. Reverend Jayme Babczak will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends at Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Monday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
