Harry Koppenberg, Sr

Harry B. Koppenberg Sr., 81, of Fidelity Street died Feb. 8 at 1:20 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient for one day.
He was the husband of Marie C. (Selak) Koppenberg.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Matilda (Eyler) Koppenberg.
Koppenberg had been employed for 33 years in the foundry department of Rockwell International, Wyomissing, retiring in 1988.
He was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Koppenberg was a 1940 graduate of Reading High School.
He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.
Koppenberg is also survived by a son, Harry B. Jr., Reading, and a daughter, Susan M. (Koppenberg) Barrett, Wyomissing Hills.
There are also six grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be privately celebrated. Burial will be private. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
