James H. Morasco

James “Jim” H. Morasco, age 72 of Reading, PA, passed away peacefully Monday, August 11, 2025, at Reading Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 1, 1952 in Chestnut Hill, PA.

Jim grew up in Ambler, PA, then moved to Collegeville, PA where he started his family. As a teen, he surfed 7th Street in Ocean City, NJ. He enjoyed coaching Lower Perk Long Horns football with his father. Jim loved many different hobbies including fishing, gardening, and playing his computer games. He had many collections over the years including coins, beanie babies, iguanas, crackle glass, hot sauces and tap handles. He cherished watching the Eagles and Phillies with his children. The beach is his favorite place to be. He had many professions throughout his life including banking and bartending. Jim owned a Christian supply store, a bank cleaning service, and a gun shop. He retired as a grocery manager from Redner’s Warehouse Market.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Florence Morasco; brother, Ralph Morasco; and daughter, Stacey Morasco.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Morasco; brother, Spencer Morasco; daughter, Alyssa Roth and husband Luke Roth, daughter, Tiffany Lambert and husband Bryan Lambert; grandchildren, Cameron Morasco, Tylan Morasco, Briana Lambert, Trinity Sorg, Lana Sorg, and Emily Sorg; and great grandchildren, Jaxon, Wynston, and Li’Siah.

The family is holding a private viewing. A celebration of Jim’s life will be conducted at a later date.
