Jerry D. Hand, born on February 29, 1956, in Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, at his residence. His life, marked by devotion and joy, leaves behind a legacy cherished by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jerry dedicated much of his career to serving as a caretaker for Catholic cemeteries under the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. His work was a testament to his steadfast commitment and respect for the sacred spaces he tended.
Known for his spirited personality, Jerry was a true prankster, constantly sharing laughter and lighthearted moments—most notably with his beloved wife, Judy. She fondly remembers how he would “torment" her with his playful jokes. His good humor and infectious laughter were hallmarks of his character.
Jerry’s love extended deeply into his family life. He was a very loving grandfather, cherishing the times spent with his three grandchildren Brianna, Alyssa, and Dalton.
His hobbies reflected his love for the outdoors, where he found simple pleasure in tending to his lawn. Always outside cutting the grass, Jerry took pride in caring for his surroundings—even when the lawn did not require such devoted attention. This quiet dedication spoke to his nature: humble, hardworking, and unpretentious.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Hand; his sons Jerry Hand Jr., husband of Jennifer Hand, Corey Hand, and Thomas Hand; and his cherished grandchildren, Brianna, Alyssa, and Dalton.
Jerry's enduring smile, playful nature, and generous heart will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. His presence was a blessing, and his memory will forever be treasured.
Service details will be provided at a later date by the family.
