John R. McNamara Jr., 76, died of natural causes Sept. 24 in his Reading residence.
He was the husband of Ernestine M. (Lane) McNamara.
Born in Norristown, he was a son of the late John R. Sr. and Catherine McNamara.
McNamara had been employed for 16 years as a machinist by Hofmann Industries Inc., Sinking Spring, retiring in 1990.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
McNamara is also survived by a stepson, Patrick J. Callahan, Gettysburg, Adams County.
Other survivors include three brothers: Richard, Barry and Robert, all of Norristown.
There are also six stepgrandchildren, 10 stepgreat-grandchildren and one stepgreat-great-grandson.
He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Barbara Jean (Steffy) Smith.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
