John Ravert

John Ravert, 92, of Reading, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Manor Care in Laureldale. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Wojnarski. Born in Plymouth, PA, he was the son of the late John C. Ravert and Gwen (Jones) Ravert. John is survived by his children Joseph J. Ravert husband of Lynne Ravert of Auburn, PA; and Gerise Novak (Ravert) wife of Robert Novak of Reading; sister Betty Thomas; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. John is predeceased by his sister Margaret Ann Evans.
Funeral Service will be held at Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home 444 N. 9th Street, Reading, PA 19601 on Wednesday January 30th, 2019 at 10:00am. Pastor Zack Jackson will be officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00am-10:00am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Community United Church Of Christ, 3330 St. Lawrence Avenue Reading, PA 19606.
