Jorge Alfredo Salcido-Ramirez passed away on June 3, 2026, at Reading Hospital. Born in 1961, in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, Jorge’s life was marked by a spirited energy and an unwavering dedication to his loved ones and his work.

From his early years, Jorge was no stranger to diligence, working hard throughout his entire life, including his career in manufacturing where he worked as a laborer. His family and friends knew him as a lively presence, one who brought warmth and drive to every space he entered.

At home, Jorge was known for his vibrant spirit, often filling the house with music. More than anything, he adored being a father and was devoted to his daughters, a role he cherished with all his heart. His affection extended deeply toward his family, including his daughter Jennifer, stepdaughter Brenda, and step-grandchildren Brandon, Brian, and Bradley. These relationships were a source of immense pride and joy for Jorge, as he was known for his role as a true family man.

Jorge was the son of Estafana Ramirez and Ramon Salcido, both now deceased.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Salcido, Stepdaughter, Brenda Aguilera, his sisters Julia Salcido and Rosa Salcido, his brothers, Juan Salcidon and Victor Salcido, and his step-grandsons Brandon, Brian, and Bradley.

Family, music, and hard work were threads woven throughout Jorge’s life. His memory will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. Those who had the privilege of calling him family or friend will remember his unwavering warmth and lovable personality.

Services to honor Jorge’s life will be held on June 12, 2026, at the Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, Inc, located at 444 N 9th St, Reading, PA 19601. The viewing is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Charles Evans Cemetery.
