Josephine Fasig

Josephine L. Fasig, 83, of Reading, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 2:14 pm in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late James E. Fasig, Sr. who passed away June 11, 1981. Born in Reading, Mrs. Fasig was the daughter of the late Louis and Josephine ( Bregorizzatta) Guido. She was a member of Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church, served as a committee women for 18th Ward Democratic Association; member of Boomaderes who performed in front of the Capital Building in Washington for President Bill Clinton; was a member of Catholic Women's Club of Reading and was an avid bingo player. She was a Loving Mother to her children Mary L. Ninfo, wife of Augustus Ninfo of Wyomissing; Jeffrey L. Fasig, husband of Denise L. Fasig of Reading; Martin L. Fasig, husband of Jennifer N. Fasig of Gilbertsville; Tony C. Fasig of Reading and Bernadette M. Pina, wife of Salvador Pina of St. Lucie County, Florida and was preceded in death by her son James E. Fasig, Jr. who passed away December 27, 2016. Mrs. Fasig loved her 16 grandchildren, many, many great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Also surviving are her siblings Santina Burkhart of Womelsdorf; Samuel Guido of Muhlenberg Township; Santo Guido of Reading and Tony Guido of Hawaii.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church 151 North 9th Street, Reading, PA 19601, Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 10:00 am. Reverend Monsignor John J. Grabish, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Saint
