Kathleen A. Porter Pate ,65 of Elverson Pennsylvania passed away on November 8th, 2025. She was the wife of Richard Pate Jr. for 35 beautiful years. Kathleen was daughter of the late Garland Lee Porter and Hazel Kathleen Ankney Porter of Wilmington De. Youngest of 4 siblings Kathleen grew up in Hokessin, De where she graduated from Alexis I DuPont High School in 1978. She continued her education to pursue a major in veterinary medicine when her calling for life changed. She served in the US Army from 1981-1985 where she did not see deployment she shared many stories of training. After she came home she continued life and making a family. While raising the children she obtained a few jobs over the years. Kathleen dedicated 17 years working for Idemia in Exton. Kathleen loved spending time with her family. She adored animals and wildlife, many animals were rescued and fostered under her care. She loved horses and enjoyed going to Assateaque Island and taking pictures of the beautiful surroundings. Kathleen loved caring for her garden and sharing her plants. She enjoyed crafting and making things to share with others. She spent her weekends diamond painting. Kathleen survived by her husband Richard Lee Pate Jr, her children Her children Kimberly Taylor, Samuel Pate, Cassie McComsey, and Shannon Pate, and 12 beloved grandchildren, she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of 13th in January. her siblings Shirley and John, neices and nephews. Kathleen is preceded in death by her eldest brother, William Porter of Hokessin DE. Kathleen held many titles ranging from Daughter, Sister, Cousin,Aunt, Wife, Mother and her favorite was NaNa! Kathleen was very loved in life and in death she will be greatly missed. Services will be provided for family and friends.
