Lenoir Cherrington

Lenoir M. Cherrington (Sweeny) 91, of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away April 28, 2017, at Manor Care-Sinking Spring, where she had been a resident for two years.
Lenoir was born in Allentown, PA in August of 1925, and was one of three children. She graduated from Allentown High School and from the Roosevelt Hospital School of Nursing in New York City.
Lenoir was married to Richard L. Cherrington, recently deceased, for 67 years. They lived in different cities throughout Pennsylvania. but resided in Reading for the past 45 years.
Lenoir worked in a number of hospitals from New York to Allentown as a registered nurse and was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital in Reading for many years.
She is survived by 5 nieces and numerous grandnieces and nephews.
Lenoir will be entombed at Pleasant View Cemetery Mausoleum alongside her husband.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508, in memory of Mrs. Lenoir M. Cherrington.
