Maria M. Colon, 64, of Reading, passed away May 23, 2012 at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Born in Juana Dias, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Hermogene Colon and Alejandrina Santiago. Maria was an elementary school teacher for 28 years in Puerto Rico. Survivors include a daughter: Brenda M. Torres, Reading and 2 sons: Manuel I. Alvarado and Jose R. Alvarado both of Puerto Rico.
