Marie Koppenberg

Marie C. Koppenberg, 91, of Reading, passed away May 31, 2013 at Manor Care, Laureldale. She was born in Reading on December 21, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Carl Selak and Sarah Brahm. Marie worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center for 30 years. She graduated from St. Peter's High School, class of 1939 and from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1942. Survivors include a daughter: Susan M., wife of Edward C. Barrett of Wyomissing; a son: Harry B. Koppenberg, Jr., husband of Joyce of Reading; 6 grandchildren: Joel, Kristin, Brian, Kelly, Kevin, and TJ; a step- great grandchild: Lindsay. Marie was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church.
