Martha C. Morris

Martha C. Morris, 82, of Reading, passed away in her residence on Monday, June 30, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Lee Earl Morris Sr., whom passed away on September 27, 2024. Together they shared 66 years of marriage.

Born on April 17, 1943, in Reinholds, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Earl T. and Mary (Klineginy) Drexel. During her life, she worked for Berks Heim as a Nurse Aide for 20 years. After retirement, she worked for Perdue Chicken and Hollywood Cleaners in Reading. Martha loved gardening, baking, cooking, coloring and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed going to the beach and boardwalk with her late beloved husband Lee Earl Morris Sr.

Martha is survived by her children son, Lee E. Morris Jr., of Reading; daughters, Shirley Heckman, of Reading; Mary Fuentes, wife of Jose Fuentes, of Reading; Janet Harris, of Reading; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and brother Sherwood Drexel, of South Carolina.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home 444 North 9th Street Reading, PA 19601 on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 6:00pm-8:00pm and on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 10:00am-11:00am. Service at 11:00am. Interment to follow to Berks County Memorial Gardens.
