Michael Dougherty, Sr

Michael W. Dougherty Sr. 75, of Wyomissing, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the loving husband of the late Sharon (Devine) Dougherty who passed away November 12, 2002 and spent 37 years of marriage with. Born in Geneva New York, he was the son of the late Michael and Geraldine (Kenyan) Dougherty. Michael was a graduate from Central Catholic High School. He retired from Trim Master Corporation after 48 years, serving as the shipping and receiving manager. Michael Enjoyed going out with friends as well as being a member of St. John's Lodge #435 F&AM for 20 years. Michael enjoyed boating on Lake Geneva as a child and was an avid lover of Dieffenbach's potato chips and sour cream doughnuts throughout his life.
He is survived by his son, Michael W. Dougherty Jr. husband of Tara Dougherty of Reading; daughter Shari Flickinger, wife of John Flickinger of Fleetwood and his sister, Anne Pugliese of Summerville, SC. Michael is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Stephanie, Anthony, John, Gianna, Amanda, & Adam, Teana and 1 Great grandchild, Elena.
Masonic Service conducted by St. John's Lodge #435 F&AM will be held in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 North 9th Street, Reading, Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11:15 am. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family. The Family will receive relatives and friends in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Friday, 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
