Mildred Leiby

Mildred (Milly) Babb Leiby, 88, of Shillington, passed away Tuesday, Jan 24, 2023 at Reading Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Edwin Leiby.  Raised in West Lawn, Milly was the daughter of the late Gordon and Helen (Keeney) Hassel.  She was a long-time employee of Met-Ed until her retirement.  She was feisty and fun. For years, she was a favorite Girl Scout leader for many girls in the Gov. Mifflin school district. She loved hiking, biking, travel and especially swimming. Milly did a great job as a single mother and will be missed by her daughters Sue Babb, wife of Fred Olschner of Watertown, MA and Judy Werner, wife of Art Werner of Wilmington, DE.
