Patricia Ann Carvalho

Patricia Ann Carvalho, 90, of Mount Penn, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Reading Hospital. She was a beloved wife and mother. Born on October 31, 1935, in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Albert G. and Lavita E. (Harvey) Johnson. Patricia obtained a bachelor’s in science degree in chemistry from Purdue University. She was employed at Dupont in Wilmington DE when she met and married her husband Edward Paul Carvalho. They shared 65 years of marriage together. She later attended Saint Joseph’s school of nursing in Lancaster PA and obtained her RN license. She was employed by Wernersville State Hospital and eventually retired from her nursing position at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Reading PA. During her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her husband Edward Paul Carvalho, of Mount Penn; daughter, Maia Frederick, wife of Terry, of Hamburg; son, Eric Carvalho, husband of Kelly, of South Carolina; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
