Ramon Duran(Perez)

Ramon Duran(Perez), 73, of Reading, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 6:18 pm in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. He was the husband of Ramona (Munoz) Duran. Born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Cristino Duran and Monserrate Perez. Mr. Duran was a member of Saint Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church and was employed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission until his retirement. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Leida Duran-Feliciano, wife of Gabrielle Feliciano of Mohnton; Idail Duran Suarez, wife of Pedro J. Suarez of Reading; Carmen M. Ruiz, wife of Ricardo Ruiz of Wyomissing and Ramonita Rivera, wife of Misael Rivera of Reading. Mr. Duran is also survived by his grandchildren Javier G. Ortega; Jonathan Ortega, husband of Keila Ortega; T. Anthony Diaz; Nathan Diaz; Nailah Rivera; Jocelyn Ruiz; Nicholas R. Ruiz and Rozlyn I. Suarez along with 2 great grandchildren Jeremiah Ortega and Aleeah S. Ortega. Mr. Duran is also survived by 10 siblings.
Funeral Service will be held in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 North 9th Street, Reading, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Reverend David J. Kozak will officiate.
