Ray L. Balthaser, 90, of North 10th St., died April 16 at 4:25 p.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of June E. (Trythall) Balthaser.
Born in Kutztown, he was a son of the late Jeremiah F. and Laura (Levan) Balthaser.
He was employed for more than 30 years as a truck driver by Stichter Hardware of Reading and the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1990.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Balthaser is also survived by a stepson, David Trythall, Clarksville, Tenn.
Also surviving are three stepgrandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be private. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
