Raymond A. Peters, 86, of Moss Street died March 13 at 3:20 p.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center.
His wife, Virginia C. (Harter) Peters, died Dec. 30, 1982.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Joseph H. and Rosa (Bumm) Peters.
Peters was employed for 31 years as a laborer by GPU Corp., Reading, retiring in 1979.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Peters is survived by a son, Raymond J., Pittsburgh, and four daughters: Carel M. (Peters) Geist, Lenhartsville; Erleen A. (Peters) Fick, Laureldale; Dawn P. (Peters) Butler, Birdsboro; and Dona P. Peters, Temple.
There are also 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc., Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
