Raymond R. Schober

Raymond R. Schober, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at his home in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Born on January 27, 1953, in Binghamton, New York, he was the son of the late Rudolph Raymond Schober Jr. and Hazel Pauline (née McIntosh) Schober.

Raymond was a sales professional in the automated electronics manufacturing industry, specializing in pick-and-place machinery used worldwide to assemble printed circuit boards. He served proudly as the Eastern Regional Sales Manager at Philips in the 1990s-2000s.

He enjoyed following trends in technical advances, often finding the newest gadget or upgrading the sound system for his vinyl record collection. In addition to collecting albums, Raymond spent his time collecting knives and coins, visiting the shooting range, and taking in a baseball or football game. An automotive enthusiast, he was most at home either under the hood making his own repairs or behind the wheel on the open road. Raymond is survived by his daughter, Meaghan Harper, wife of Christopher, of Coatesville; sister, Sandra Boatwright, of New York; and his significant other, Linda Jacobson, of Pottstown.
