On Monday, May 17 2021, Renee Burr-Schnupp loving wife, mother of two and grandmother of three passed away at the age of 63.
Renee was born February 28 1958 to James and Frieda Martin in Elizabeth, NJ. She graduated from Allentown High School in Allentown, NJ and cosmetology school in 1978. She worked as a hair stylist, both in and out the home for the next four decades. On June 18, 1983, she married William H Burr Jr. They raised two sons, Michael and Jonathan. Both William and Renee were actively involved in multiple facets of the Millstone Township, NJ community in which they lived. Some years after William’s passing, Renee would marry Douglas Schnupp. They would reside in New Holland and Leola in Lancaster County PA and eventually Sinking Spring in Berks County, PA.
Renee had a passion for arts/crafts and baking, although her true joy came from being a loving mother and grandmother. From attending every one of her son’s basketball games, to teaching her granddaughters how to bake, or playing cards with her only grandson, Renee dedicated her life to being the matriarch of her close-knit family. She guided her sons and ensured that they were industrious and determined to leave the world a better place than they found it. She will be remembered for her loving and kindhearted spirit and her unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
Renee was preceded in death by both her husbands, William and Douglas. She is survived by her sons Michael and Jonathan, her daughters-in-law Danielle and Karen, and grandchildren Kameron, Jacob and Gracie. A funeral service will be held privately by the family. The family is not asking for flowers or gifts, but rather that you gather your loved ones close and enjoy a homecooked meal or a friendly, contentious game of cards. That is how Renee most enjoyed spending her time and if you could hear her voice from Heaven, she would undoubtedly say to enjoy every single one of those moments. She most certainly did.
