Richard L. Cherrington, 89, of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away March 15, 2017 at Country Meadows in Wyomissing.
Richard was born in Crackersport, PA in May of 1927, and was the third of three children. He graduated from Allentown High School and was a World War II veteran.
Richard is survived by his wife, Lenoir. They were married 67 years. He and his wife lived in multiple cities throughout Pennsylvania during the course of their lives.
Richard worked for General Motors for more than 30 years, and was an
avid golfer.
He is survived by five nieces and numerous grandnieces and nephews. Richard will be entombed in Pleasant View Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League of Berks County 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 in memory of Mr. Richard L. Cherrington.
