Richard Miller

Richard T. Miller, 87, of Reading passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

He was the beloved husband of Gertrude L. (Drupp) Miller, of Reading. Together they shared 34 years of marriage.

Born in Mt.Carmel, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clinton James Miller Sr. and Mary (Kroutch) Miller. Richard was a graduate of Reading High School Class of 1954.

He served proudly in the United States Army.

During his life, he was a Photographer for the Reading Eagle, until retirement. Richard was a manager and roller skating instructor for various local skating rinks. He also worked at Weis Market, once he retired from the roller skating world.

In addition to his wife Gertrude Miller, he is survived by his children, Debra Detweiler, wife of Perry, of Exeter Township; Daniel Miller, husband of Sara, of Exeter Township; grandchildren, David Miller, Ian Detweiler, and Brett Detweiler; step grandchildren, Georgeine Reeser and William Kazmierczak;  and great grandchildren Hailee and Avery Miller.

Richard was predeceased by his grandson Andrew Miller, brother Clinton Miller Jr. and sister Rita Westley.
