Robert Jacob “Bob” Fakelmann, 82, of York, PA, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025. He was born on February 3, 1943, in New Brunswick, NJ, to the late Jacob and Florence Fakelmann, Bob was also predeceased by his sister Judy and her husband Charles.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Mary Wragg Fakelmann: his children Patti and her husband John, Deborah, Bobby and his wife Jennifer, Catherine and her husband John, David and eight grandchildren who were the light of his life: Grant and Morgan, Denton, Gavin and Taylor, Elizabeth and Emma and Hayes.

After graduating from high school in Edison, NJ, Bob attended technical school to become an electrician, early in Bobs career he took the State of New Jersey Electrical exam and was proudly awarded his NJ State Electrical License. With continued drive and determination Bob started his own company, MCI Electric in Pittstown, NJ. Through years of hard work Bob grew this business into one of the largest union electrical contracting companies in the state of NJ and the Northeast. Along the way, he became a member of the International Brotherhood Electrical Workers and was also honored to serve as President of National Electrical Contractors Association.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob cherished life’s adventures, he loved travel, fishing, boating and scuba diving, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Those who knew him well fondly remember his warmth and generosity, his passion for life, and his enjoyment of a good vodka gimlet with his trusted cigar in hand.

Bob will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, family, and hard work will live on in the many lives he touched.
