Robert R. Martin, 85, formerly of Reading, died June 17 at 12:56 p.m. in Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, West Reading, where he had been a resident since February. His wife, Arlene Mae Martin, died Feb. 5.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late William E. and Elizabeth (Hasson) Martin.
Martin had been employed for 31 years as an assembler by General Battery Corp., Reading, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading.
Martin was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two sisters, Ruth (Martin) Pacifico, Reading, and Fern (Martin) Tucker, Atlanta.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Luke's Church. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
