Rudolph Richards

Rudolph Conley Richards, 61, of Perry Township, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 3:15 pm in his residence. He was the husband of the late Lennia E. (Tyson) Richards. Born in Fort Myers, Florida, Mr. Richards was the son of the late Porter Richards, Jr. and Ida Idelle (Douglas) Richards. He was employed in construction until his retirement. Mr. Richards is survived by his daughters Miranda L. Wilson, wife of Ted Guistwite with whom he last resided and Amanda R. Richards of San Antonio, Texas and step daughter Marcy L. Hermany of Leesport and was preceded in death by his step son Roger P. Bowers. He is also survived by his grandchildren Avery and Cloey Guistwite; Kaitlyn M. Wilson and his step grandson Daniel S. Moyer. Mr. Richards is also survived by his sisters Carol Flint of North Carolina and Beverly Faircloth of Florida and was preceded in death by his brothers JR. Richards and Clyde Richards. Mr. Richards was a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company and Leesport Fire Company. A gathering will take place at the Shoemakersville Fire Company in the future, to be announced.
Memorial service will be held in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 North 9th Street, Reading, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11:00 am. Reverend David Duquette will officiate. Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Thursday 10:00-11:00 am.
