Ruth Ann (Johnstone) Conklin, 83, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2015 at Berks Heim following a lingering illness.
Ruth was born in Butler, PA to parents: Walter and Esther Johnstone. She attended Butler High School and received a teaching degree from Slippery Rock University. She worked as a teacher at Grove City High School until she and her husband Arthur Van Conklin retired and moved to Shillington in 1996.
Survivors include her husband: Arthur Van Conklin, Children: Cathy Guss, Chris Conklin, and Bruce Conklin. Brother: James Johnstone, and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, and teacher, and inspired her children as well as her students. She will be deeply missed.
