Viola Mae Ritz, 85, of West Green Street died Jan. 14 at 2:30 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient one week.
Born in Strausstown, she was a daughter of the late James and Tama (Wagner) Klose.
Ritz was employed for 11 years as a foster grandparent by the Hamburg State Hospital, until her retirement.
She was a member of Olivet Reformed United Church of Christ, Reading.
Surviving is a son, Warren F., Reading.
Other survivors include a sister, Pauline (Klose) Spitler, Wyomissing; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
