Walter Barlet

Walter A. Barlet, 84, formerly of Muhlenberg Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in St. Joseph Medical Center on Wednesday, May 13,2015 at 11:58 pm. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Norris) Barlet who passed away November 7, 2009. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Walter A. Barlet, Sr. and Jennie Amelia (Gaylor) Barlet. He attended Norwest Junior High School and was a Sales Clerk for Duron Paints for 43 years until his retirement. Mr. Barlet was a great father, grandpa, father-in-law, uncle and friend. He was an avid bowler in his younger years and enjoyed going to Hollywood Casino and spending time with his family. He is survived by his son Steven A. Barlet, husband of Karen L. Barlet of Spring Township and his granddaughters Stephanie L. Barlet and Carolyn M. Belles. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Garman of Florida, several nieces and nephews and his grand dog Mario. Mr. Barlet was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Barlet, sister Jean Brumbach, brother Robert Barlet and cousin Jack T. Gaylor.

Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
