Warren F. Ritz, 63, West Reading, died of natural causes March 17 at 4:59 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient one day.
He was the husband of Patricia A. (Fryberger) Ritz.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Floyd and Viola (Klose) Ritz.
Ritz was employed for 32 years as a machinist by Carpenter Technology Corp., retiring in 1997.
He was an Army veteran.
Ritz was a PIAA baseball umpire and Berks County American Legion umpire for 16 years.
He was a 1960 graduate of West Reading High School.
Ritz is also survived by two daughters, Brenda L. (Ritz) O'Connell and Elaine E. (Ritz) Noecker, both of Reading; and two sons, Paul E., Springfield, Mass., and James W., West Reading.
Other survivors include three grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
