William Knight

William A. Knight, 80, of Reading, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 10, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Beverly J. (Dierolf) Knight. Together they shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Stubblebine) Knight. William was a graduate of Reading High School Class of 1959. He was employed as a Lab Technician, for Occidental formerly called Firestone in Pottstown for more than 30 years, retiring in 1992.

William enjoyed bicycling, wood working, rafting, and black powder rifles. He was also a member of the former Flying Dutchman Model Airplane Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Lori Martin, wife of Timothy, of Reading; Jill LaManna, of Reading; grandchildren, Janice Rutkowski; Derek Kanavins; Dylan Kanavins; Melissa Martin; Shannon Martin; Erin Martin; Samuel LaManna; Nicolas LaManna; and great-grandchildren, Kyle Knight; Jason Vogt; Adison Strause; Liam Kanavins; Aleks Kanavins; and James Kanavins. William was predeceased by his brother Richard Knight.
