Clyde H. Smith, 87, of Douglassville PA, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2021 surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Rowena R, his two sons Christopher and Matthew Smith. His two daughters Beth Green and Denise Jackson, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son Michael Smith and his daughter Patricia Bastik.
Clyde was born Philadelphia PA on January 13, 1934 to James Smith and Iva P. Smith. After attending Olney High School, Clyde enlisted in the US NAVY for 6 years and worked for the Teamster Union till his retirement.
Clyde loved nothing more than having his family by his side and spending their time with him. Clyde was the glue that kept the family together and was always the peacemaker. Clyde loved nothing more than his family and music and that is how his final days were spent.
In life, we loved you dearly; in death we love you still. In our hearts you will hold a place, no one else will fill.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception B.V.M Church 905 Chestnut Street, Birdsboro, Friday, December 10, 2021 at 12:00 pm. Reverend Monsignor John B. McCann, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Immaculate Conception B.V.M Church Friday from 10:00 am to 11:45 am.
