Diego Velazquez

November 29, 2003 — November 12, 2022

Reading, PA

Our brother Diego “D” Velazquez passed away this weekend leaving behind unfinished adventures and broken hearts. D was 18 years old, on his last year of High school when our oldest brother arrived at the hospital to receive the news that our Brother D had tragically passed away.

D’s birthday was the 29th of November where he would’ve been celebrating another year of life, next to us, his nephews, nieces, and son. D was a hardheaded, focused, passionate kid. Anything he set his mind to he was going to accomplish. As small or as big as his next move was he was going to make it, and he was going to do it with passion and confidence.

Like all the Velazquez brothers, D was a man who carried himself with a tough demeanor. But his bright, happy, goofy, kind personality was always around when he was with us. D was always making us laugh and always cracking jokes. He was kind and caring, dedicating time and energy to his nieces and nephews. On his free time D enjoyed spending time with his friends but his peace came when he appreciated nature. He loved being on his dirt bike and enjoyed fishing with our brothers.

D leaves behind distraught parents, broken siblings, confused friends, a newborn and his girlfriend Giselle. Losing D left a hole in our hearts and in our lives. There will forever and always be one empty seat at my moms table, one silent brother in our group chat, one less son to make fun of, one less cool uncle to play with, one less brother I can look to for safety and for comfort.t

To the person who took D’s life, This weekend you took someones kind son, someones loving father and you took from us a loyal brother.

To D, May you forever and always Rest In Peace, we will never ever let our memories of you fade.
