Earl Bookheimer

Earl Bookheimer, 57, of Douglassville has left the station on his final call. Born in Ludwigsburg, West Germany, he was the son of Hannelore (Kaiser) of Macungie, and the late Robert G. Bookheimer. Earl is survived by his wife, Donna (Duffield), his children, Christopher, Daniel, Benedict, and canine companion, Ava. He is also survived by his sister, Gwen Bookheimer, and niece, Tori.

Earl will be remembered for his compassionate EMS care, his middle of the night disco dance parties, his thirst for Pepsi and Dunkin coffee, and running outside for breathing treatments. Earl was a paramedic with several local ambulance companies through the years including Montgomery Hospital Paramedics, Plymouth Ambulance, West Norriton Ambulance, Royersford Ambulance, Bally Community Ambulance and last running with Uwchlan Ambulance and Trappe Fire/EMS. He was also an instructor in Chester County for CPR, ACLS, PALS, ITLS, and as a paramedic preceptor.

Burial will be private. A Celebration of Earl’s life will take place at a later date.
