Helen Benoit

After a lifetime of voracious reading, late-night conversations and curveball adventures, Helen’s off to get the answers to all her questions. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Merle (Gilfillan), stepbrother Fran Leasure and his daughter Jennifer, she leaves behind siblings Barb Gardner, Charles (Rose), Anna DeZarn (RD) and Teresa Keyes (Corey) who will always look up to their big sister; stepmom Joann Benoit; stepbrothers Bill (Donna) and Tom (Tricia) Leasure and their extended families; Aunt Jeannette, Debbie Shepler and many other cousins; dear friends like Rosaura y la familia González; special ManorCare staff members and folks in her many online communities who meant more to her than they know. Her nieces and nephews - Christina, Jonathan, Daegan, Isaiah, Andie and Steve - and their children can look forward to a lifetime of “Your Aunt Helen” stories, most of them true, but Helen would have told them better. In lieu of flowers, Helen would want us to call a friend, read the comics and raise a glass of Jack (real or imagined) in her honor.
