Juan Nájera, 52, of Galivants Ferry, SC, previously of Johnstown and Reading, PA, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Conway Medical Center in Conway, SC.

He was born July 6, 1969 in Chicago, IL, the son of Francisco Nájera-Ramirez and Josefina (Garcia) Nájera of Reading, PA.

He graduated from Reading Central Catholic High School and Reading/Muhlenberg Vo-Tech in 1987, attended Reading Community College and Penn State University.

Juan was employed by R1 RCM as Senior Operations Lead (AR Collections Manager). Previously employed by Life Point, Community Health Systems and Aetna.

In a relationship with Stacey DeLong for 7 years and engaged for the past 4. He will be missed tremendously by Stacey, his family ,his many friends and his rescue dog, Reisling.

Juan was a member of St. Benedict Church of Johnstown, PA and a previous member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church and St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church of Reading, PA.

Surviving is his son, Angelo Nájera of Wilkes-Barre, PA, his two sisters, Claudia (Nájera) Campbell and her husband, David Campbell of Ave Maria, FL, Yolanda Nájera of CA and one brother,                 Francisco Nájera, Jr. and his wife, Michele (Pacharis) Nájera of Alburtis, PA as well as four nephews.

Visitation Services will be held at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 151 N. 9th St., Reading, PA between 9-9:45 AM on December 11, 2021. Services/Mass will follow at 10:00 AM.

Graveside services will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale, PA following the service/mass.

Arrangements are by Whalen Schwartz Funeral Home, Inc., 444 N 9th St., Reading, PA.
